Custom Bodies

USA Custom Guitars replacement bodies made from the finest hand selected tonewoods with attention paid to every detail.

Vintage and modern shapes, plus hollow body and carved top designs are available to suit all players' needs and preferences. Our bodies are made of 2 pieces of premium tone tapped wood. Our bodies are meticulously joined with special attention paid to grain matching. Premium one piece bodies can also be supplied, but incur a variable up charge based on availability. Super lightweight Swamp Ash bodies are available and will also incur an up charge.

Lam Top Bodies

Our standard lam top bodies feature high grade figured woods all the time. There is no extra or hidden charge for a sweet looking top. We feel that all lam tops should look killer, so they are already priced to insure that everyone receives a great looking top!

Almost any guitar or bass body style can be had as a lam top. We offer them on bodies with a flat top or forearm contour with 1/8" or 1/4" thickness. Contoured bodies are available with 1/8" thickness only. Lam top S bodies have a slightly different forearm contour than non-lam top standard S bodies.

Of course there are some outrageous looking 5A graded top woods available at some additional cost, but it sure is worth it if you really want to make an impression. Please contact us for 5A top pricing and availability.

Neck pockets on all guitar bodies are milled to standard dimensions (2.19" ~= 2-3/16" wide). On S or T style bodies, we offer a special wider neck pocket (2-5/16") to accommodate our super wide 1-7/8" nut width neck. Either square or rounded pockets are interchangeable on any body style at no additional cost.

For you "lefties" out there (and we know who you are!) we offer most of our bodies in a left handed version at no additional charge.

Our bodies are available with either top or rear routs. All rear rout bodies include a black plastic control plate cover. You can choose from our vast number of standard and custom pickups and bridge routing configurations listed below.

Lam Top Bodies

All of our lam top bodies feature high grade figured woods all the time, as seen on the Lam top S body above.
Rear Routed Bodies

The control cavity is routed to a size where there is enough room to fit an assortment of pots and switches without removing too much wood. All rear rout bodies include a black plastic control plate cover.
 
Body Features

All 'T' Style bodies except 'carved top' come with flat input area only.

String through ferrules come recessed on Vintage Strat and Tele Bridges only.

Comfortable forearm and rib contours.

All 'S' Style jack routs come with extended inside cut for proper jack fit.

'S' Style top rout fitted with access cut - gives enough room for any wiring scheme. Also, purposely cut just low enough to allow for ground wire to easily pass to trem cavity.

Universal pickup routing available for top routed guitars.

'Swimming-pool' routs available for universal pickup configurations.

Truss rod access routs are available for low pain level adjustment. It doesn't come standard, but if you want it, just ask.
